We have much pleasure in announcing the engagement of Miss Charlotte Cohen, daughter of Mr Mendel Cohen, of Melbourne, to Mr J Joachim, of Prahran.'

'On Wednesday, the 25th March, Miss Charlotte Cohen, daughter of Mr Mendel Cohen president of the East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation, was united in wedlock with Mr Joseph Joachim of Prahran. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Lenzer in the Albert Synagogue, in the presence of a large number of guests and visitors. The bride was tastefully attired and attended by nine bridesmaids, mostly relatives, and as many groomsmen. After the ceremony the company adjourned to the Masonic Hall, where all kinds of excellent refreshments were served. The health of the happy bride and bridegroom was enthusiastically honoured.
