JOHANNA DOSSETT was born 1858 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. regno 12241, and died 5 July 1940.  Johanna was the daughter of ROWLAND DOSSETT and JOHANNA DONLAN. She married WALKER HESSELL 15 March 1875 in House of Rev C Frazer, Tuam St, Christchurch, New Zealand.  He was born 1850 in Hull, Yorkshire, England, and died 9 April 1912 in New Zealand.

Johanna lived in New Zealand for 75 years.  She was a very religious person (Brethren) and before her death she lived with her daughter in law (Emma) and daughter Edith.  Johanna had Alzheimer's but could still remember the words of all the hymns.

GEORGE LAZENBY HESSELL, born 27 March 1880; died October 1928. He married ELIZA TAVENER. She was born 1886 and died November 1968.

WALKER GREGORY HESSELL, born 2 January 1881; died 16 April 1963, Balclutha, New Zealand. He married ANN CLIMO. She was born 1885 and died November 1954.

HENRY CHARLES HESSELL, born 31 July 1882; died 11 August 1908. He married MARY ELIZABETH NORMAN in 1907.

ALICE HESSELL, born 19 February 1884; died 15 November 1889.

FREDERICK JOHN FENTEMAN HESSELL, born 27 May 1885; died 11 June 1908. He married LILY ROSENA COOPER in 1906.

JOHN HESSELL, born 14 July 1887;  Killed in Africa while elephant hunting (poaching).

ROLAND THOMAS HESSELL, born 12 March 1890; died 8 July 1965.  He married STELLA WILD in 1920. She was born March 1898 and died 7 October 1968.

WILLIAM EVEREST HESSELL, born 20 May 1891; died 17 August 1936. He married GLADYS MARGARETTA SARAH BOOKER. She was born 21 February 1895 and died 15 February 1983.

WALTER PERCIVAL HESSELL, born 28 April 1893; died 9 December 1963. He married EMMA JANE JOHNSON in 1917. She was born 20 April 1891 and died 1 February 1973.

VICTOR HESSELL, born 17 December 1896; died 10 November 1972, Wanganui, New Zealand. He married (1) OLIVE ANNIE SUTHERWOOD in 1916. (2) CLEMENTINE UNKNOWN.

EDITH HESSELL, born 28 August 1899; died 30 August 1981. She married (1) WILLIAM CURRIE in 1922. (2) LINDSAY MOFFATT.
