AMELIA OTTOLANGUI, born on the 16 June 1832 or 1833 in Spitalfields, London, England and died on the 2 February 1910 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Daughter of MOSES OTTOLANGUI and EMMA BENSABAT. She married GERSHON MENDES on the 20 December 1854 at the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation, Victoria, Australia. Son of JOHN MENDES and CHARLOTTE HABILHO.  He was born in 1825 in London, England and died on the 18 November 1901 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

AMELIA OTTOLANGUI:

Arrived in Australia in July of 1854 on the "Ballarat". Her stated age was 20.

In 1854 she was living at Knott St, Sandridge, (marriage cert) Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

In 1910, she was at 272 Coventry St (death cert) Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

GERSHON MENDES:

Gershon was married 1st to Sarah Bensabat, sister of Emma Bensabat who was married to Moses Ottolangui. 2nd he married  Amelia Ottolangui the daughter of Emma Bensabat & Moses Ottolangui.

SARAH ANNE MENDES, born on the 16 September 1855 at Sandridge, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on the 9 March 1930 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She married HERMAN MARKS on the 29 March 1876 at the East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation (regno 1108).  He was born about 1846 in Chedzeisen, Prussia and died on the 28 April 1888 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

MORRIS (MOSS) MENDES, born on the 17 March 1858 at Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on the 28 June 1933 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He married ROSETTA SOLOMONS on the 11 March 1891 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She was born on the 6 March 1869 and died on the 29 January 1911 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

ALBERT MENDES, born on the 22 August 1860 at Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on the 20 September 1943 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He married ELIZABETH JONES.  She was born about 1871 and died on the 20 June 1954.

DAVID MENDES, born on the 21 November 1861 at Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on the 19 September 1947 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. He married AGNES (MARY) MARTINI.

LOUIS MENDES, born on the 29 April 1864 at Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on the 27 July 1950 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He married MARY LEWIS in 1907. She was born in Bendigo, Australia about 1873.

EMMA MENDES, born on the 18 July 1866 at Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Australia and died on the 5 March 1939. She married ABRAHAM (ALFRED) DA COSTA in 1891. He was born on the 1 October 1862 and died on the 24 September 1926 in South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

REBECCA MENDES, born on the 27 June 1873 at Emerald Hill, Melbourne, Australia and died on the 21 May 1954.
